We all know and love Pikachu, but what if the adorable Pokémon was a busty tiger with large breasts instead of a small yellow rodent? Most don’t know the weird origins of this cute little critter. Apparently in an alternate universe timeline, Pikachu should be a large tiger with huge knockers. Lets’s explore this strange yet fascinating story more in depth.

The Original Adult Design
A little bit of backstory obviously. Pikachu was being developed by Atsuko Nishida and Ken Sugimori during the development of Pokémon Red & Blue, which would be the character’s first official appearance. Ken preferred the idea of making Pikachu into a cute character that would appeal more towards children. When Red & Blue and Pikachu’s design were formally pitched to Nintendo of America, the company disapproved of the design, noting that it was “too cute” for the market. Instead, what followed was a series of creative illustrations that gave Pikachu a muscular body with massive bosoms. In simpler words, Nintendo of America somehow redesigned Pikachu into a tiger with big breasts.

Aftermath of the Scrapped Pikachu Design
The scrapped illustration of Pikachu as a tiger with huge breasts has thus far never been released or leaked to the public. The Pokémon Company’s president, Tsunekazu Ishihara, actually has the design to this day but refuses to release it to the public. He even stated that he will never release it to the public as long as he lives. Kind of an exaggerated stance to have about an allegedly adult drawing in my opinion, but Ishihara seems intent to keep to his wishes to never release the illustration. We can only hope that he will either somehow change his mind, or more likely that someone can leak the illustration to the world instead.
The original interview with Ishihara confirming the illustration of Pikachu with huge breasts. It’s currently on the Internet Archive, but unfortunately the page can’t be translated properly and appears to be gibberish.
